i asked around gen santos and davao and so far this is what I have come up with for 15 x 8 mags for my pajero:

AR or other brand na ALLOY: P22,000 and above

AR na Steel chrome: P18,000 and above

Taiwan (US RAcing/Wheel ata ang brand) steel chrome: 12,000 to 13,000:

the only reason i want to change mags is because i want the wider rim to accomodate the 33 x 12.5 r 15 muds that i will be getting. sabi ng friend ko is that the taiwanese mags do not have the good clear coating that the AR steel chrome mags have. baka kakalawangin daw kung di alagaan.

for a difference of 50% more expensive, kahit palitan ko na lang mags ko after 3 to 4 years, pwede na siguro ang taiwanese na steel chrome?

what are your opinions guys?

I have Taiwan mags, said to be aluminum. So far, after 3 days use, it looks as if it scratches real easy. (IMG:http://4x4ph.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

naku, bad trip naman kung isng rainy season lang ang katapat ng taiwan chrome steel mags. akala ko pa naman na kaya kahit 3 years (IMG:http://4x4ph.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

time to re-think my plan. hanggang 11pm kami naga-text ni KC kagabi. Ang dami daw talagang choices for mags sa Manila. nakakainggit talaga

If you're going for off-brand (e.g. Taiwanese) wheels, avoid the chrome and polished aluminum. Even in name-brand wheels, they can be a bit difficult to maintain.

The painted/silver clear coat (similar to OEM) finish seems to wear better.

Why don't you try the local wheels like Rota.

Rota the best sa local brand kaya lang konti lang choices for SUV's

noon sa vanette naka 15 inch and 60 series low profile ako along NLEX running 80kph, hit a big hole for about 8 inch...grabe di man nag oblong, pero yung falken tire nagkabukol...hehehe sa sobrang takot ko kasi one week lang kaagad pinacheck ko kung obong na...buset na NLEX noon!

yup, i am also considering rota, pero the only design i like is the Ranger and it only comes in 16 inch and 17 inch. this will translate into more expensive mud tires (IMG:http://4x4ph.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

malay mo, magsawa si KCBoy sa bagong mags nya, tapos benta nya at half price (IMG:http://4x4ph.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
